Chrome’s Privacy Update (for Publishers)

To prepare for the upcoming Google Chrome cookie policy changes, Sharethrough will be implementing changes to our cookie behavior. 

Google’s changes are expected to release with Chrome 80 on February 4, 2020. Going forward, cookies which are intended to be accessible in a cross-site context must have “SameSite=None” and “Secure” attributes set in the cookie.

Sharethrough’s Changes

  • We will set Sharethrough cookies with the “SameSite=None” and “Secure” flag
