Using Configurations - Applying and Retrieving Demand Blocks

Overview

As a Supply Partner, use the Configurations tab to apply demand blocks and restrict spend from an advertiser. Demand blocks can be applied at the domain level, app level and/or across all inventory. Alternatively, if you wish to apply demand blocks across multiple publisher accounts/integrations – simply apply the block under the Primary Publisher account and toggle the ‘Apply to all inventory’ button.

To ensure you have permissions to access to Configurations, please confirm and/or request from your RevOps Manager to gain access to this feature.

  1. Select ‘Configuration' in the top bar navigation

  2. Once selected, you will be prompted to either apply the block across three ways:

    1. Apply to all inventory - Simply toggle the button that says 'Apply to all inventory for X publisher(s). If logged in under the Primary Publisher account, this will apply the block across multiple integrations/accounts.

    2. Apply to a domain(s) - To apply the block across a domain, search for the domain in the ‘Search for Domains’ field. This will automatically provide live domains if you enter at least 3 characters of the domain. You can search add and search for additional domains, if needed. Live domains need a minimum of at least 50k impression requests within a 24 hour period. If you are not seeing the domain and the domain is new, please paste the domain(s) in the field below the search field (separated by row).

    3. Apply to an app(s) - To apply the block across an app(s), search for the app in the ‘Search for Apps’ field. The same logic applies for new apps, simply paste the bundle ID(s) in the subsequent form (separated by row).

  3. Select 'Next', once you have selected at what level the block should be applied.

  4. Next, simply select if you would like to:

    1. APPLY/DisABLING - applying the demand block(s)/disabling demand

      1. The default setting is set to disabling demand

    2. REMOVING/Enabling - removing the demand block(s)/enabling demand

  5. Add the IAB Category and/or Advertiser Domain Block

    1. Select the dropdown titled ‘Categories’ if you would like to apply a block across an IAB Category. Multiple IAB categories can be selected.

    2. Paste the advertiser domain(s) in the field (separated by row) if you would like to block by adomain(s). Domains should be formatted 'example.com'. If applicable, pasting by spreadsheet (csv, xls, etc,) separate by row is possible if multiple domains are added.

  6. Lastly, select ‘Finish’. The requested blocks will be applied.

    1. Blocks applied in Pub Maestro will be applied within an hour. Please allow 1-2 days for cached impressions requests/spend by advertiser and/or IAB category will taper off.
